THE BEATLES
Shannon was given the title, “The World’s Greatest Beatles Artist” by the Lord Mayor of Liverpool, England in 1997. Neil Aspinall, CEO of Apple Corp, congratulated Shannon on her wonderful portrayal of John, Paul, George, and Ringo. Shannon was given permission to create Beatles Art, personally, by Mr. Aspinall. Since then, her Beatles Artwork has garnered the world over.
John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr at the This painting hangs in 2 places at the Hard Day’s Night Hotel in Liverpool, England… In the Lobby at the front desk and in the “A Hard Day’s Night / The Album” room.
It also hangs at the prestigious NYC night club, owned by Steve Walter (Berklee Alumnus) and co-owner Chris North (Sex and the City, Law & Order, The Good Wife), called “The Cutting Room”.
The year was 1968. Representing The Beatles, John Lennon and Paul McCartney flew to New York City to introduce their new company called Apple Corp.

OVERCOMING ADVERSITY
Shannon often speaks of how some high school teachers frowned upon the idea that she loved and painted The Beatles. One in particular, her Art Teacher, would bully her sayings “You’ll NEVER get anywhere drawing those pigs!”. Years later she proved them wrong when Liverpool, England’s Lord Mayor gave her the title: “The World’s Greatest Beatles Artist”.

Shannon’s celebrity artwork has been recognized all over the globe. From actors to sports figures, rockstars and more… every line painted is a line for reason.
“When I paint a celebrity portrait I usually need to be influenced by that individual. Of course, I love Norman Rockwell, Maxfield Parrish, and Sebastian Krüger among many… but I have influences outside the “artist/painter” realm, as well. Some of my favorite people that have added, or taken away, color to my life are… JFK, Rick Nielsen, Mae West, Muhammad Ali, Bette Davis, Edward Van Halen, David Gilmour, Marilyn, Julia Child, Lucille Ball, and my all time favorite… Charlie Chaplin.” _Shannon
SHANNON MOVIE COMING SRING 2026
“ SHANNON - GODDESS OF ROCK ART ”
Liverpool West Productions is delighted to announce the production of a new feature documentary about world-renowned artist Shannon MacDonald, famous for her extraordinary rock and roll portraiture. Distinguished by her extraordinary photorealistic artwork, MacDonald also serves as the resident artist of the prestigious Hard Days Night Hotel in Liverpool. Her diverse body of work has garnered international acclaim, and she is also celebrated for her exceptional guitar playing.
The documentary, set to be filmed at the esteemed Castle Fine Art foundry in Liverpool, will offer an intimate portrayal of Shannon MacDonald’s life. Viewers will gain insight into her remarkable journey, encompassing both triumphs and tragedies and her unique philosophy on life. Additionally, the film will showcase MacDonald as she creates an opus artwork from scratch, exclusively for the documentary.
The finishing of production of this documentary will continue through this winter. Debut is scheduled for spring/summer this year, with a scheduled release for television-viewing sometime in 2026. The feature will be produced by Liverpool West Productions and Fan Film, under the direction of Simon Weitzman and the expert editing of Alex Daniel.Shannon’s celebrity artwork has been recognized all over the globe.
